JamFest 2010 JamFest 2011

History:

JamFest was started by Bridges Academy, located in Studio City, California during 2006 as a means in which to raise money and awareness for MusiCares, the philanthropic arm of the Grammy Foundation, by bringing students from various schools together to celebrate and share music. The idea of a younger generation showcasing their skills and what they learned from those musicians who have gone before them, while simultaneously raising awareness and money for musicians who are in need, has been a resonant and symbiotic opportunity for all involved. Now six schools are enthusiastically carrying on the tradition of raising money to help those who had initially inspired their own musical awakening. JamFest is a tradition that is quietly, but profoundly, inspiring others and is growing every year.
